Rom
DJ career started in my bedroom in 2002. After years of listening to countless mixtapes from Dreamscape, Slammin Vinyl to Garage Nation to name a few, I decided to take my turn on the decks. It was Jungle & UK Garage that made me wanted to be a dj. DJs that influence me are DJ SY, Slipmatt, Ratpack, Ellis Dee, DJ Hype, DJ RAP, DJ EZ, Artful Dodger, Norris da boss Windross, Pied Piper & The Dreem Team. I started buying Garage and Jungle vinyls and months of practicing mixing led to my first break at my brother's friend house party in Enfield in November 2003. This led to various private functions booking around London 2003 and 2004. My big break arrived on 28th March 2006 at event called Lockdown in Milton Keynes It was through my friend who was a promoter at the gave me the opportunity to DJ with ARTFUL DODGER along with some well know established bhangra DJs & MCs such as Raven, Miss Que Tee to name a few.
In 2004, I met up with a good friend and this path the way that led me to play on Diverse FM in 2005. I managed to get 1-hour slot on Saturdays through out the month of September 2005. Unfortunately due to restricted license Diverse FM was off air after 30th September but the station resurrect to life in April 2007 with full time license to broadcast 24-7, 365 days a year granted by OFCOM. I was given my own show on Thursdays 6pm-8pm. The show is going strength to strength and enjoys entertaining the listeners. I have dj at various events in Luton Carnival 2005 & 2006 with Diverse FM. I love playing UK Garage as it has various styles. I like playing sexy soulful 2 step to dark and mysterious 4x4 niche bassline. I play a lot of Nu-skool 2step & 4x4 Garage and believe the scene is alive and kicking. UK Garage is back in the form of Bassline, and has become mainstream success after several years in the dark and I believe that through my show, I could be one of the pioneers that will help drive this scene to success. I tend to play the odd oldskool garage sets on my show and sometime blend the old with the new. There are other forms of music I like djing and tend to change the style of music from time to time on various shows. Style of music played such as Rnb/Hip Hop, electro/funky house, Trance, Oldskool/Nuskool Hardcore.
Show time: Saturday 4pm - 6pm & Sunday 10pm - Midnight The UK Garage & Bassline show
